Huge layout update

As promised but a little later than I meant to be, I'm here to share my layouts. I like the idea of keeping most or all of them on here so I can look back and remember, and why not show them off all in one place, too. :)

I'll start with the remainder of the layouts I did while guesting with the New Release CT at MScraps in May. (Click links for the designer credits)

Guest CT at MScraps for May

Well, well, well.  My life has been very crazy with other non-scrapbooking stuff, which has kept me a little too on my toes to want to blog, BUT I have been scrapping, quite a bit, actually. For the month of May I am guest CT at MScraps, which I am absolutely loving! Today is the first release of this month, so I can show you what I have done! The list of items being released today is incredibly long, because all the designers were rushing to get things out before INSD. So I had a very hard time choosing what I was going to work with. Four LO's this week for MScraps, and one for Val, I'm rolling! LOL!

Here are the ones for MScraps:

A couple of last minute things tonight...and a GSO for me!

Firstly Che Yang Designs is doing a RAK for her kit which is to be released tomorrow (Friday April 8th) at MScraps.
Visit http://che-yang.blogspot.com/ For a chance to win it, you can leave a comment there on her blog before she chooses a winner tomorrow. :) I've done so; wish me luck!

Secondly, I mentioned before that Zig Zag Scrap was opening their new forum today, and yes, they did. Check it out!
http://zigzagscrap.com/fun-place/
They're calling it the fun place, and it is already buzzing with fun Eastery activity...they had an egg hunt today and everything...I think there is about an hour left for that at this point! Come join us and have fun!

And thirdly, I am excited about it so I thought I'd toot my own horn a little...I got a GSO at MScraps for a layout I did earlier this week! It's my first GSO there. Thanks Suzie! It's a scraplift of a layout by MaggieMae. :)

Having fun with MScraps challenges; Zig Zag opening a forum!

I've been feeling happy scrapping lately. So I have been doing quite a bit of it. I did 7 of the monthly challenges for March on MScraps, which is a lot for me compared to other months! One of these days I'd like to actually get them all done. Maybe it could happen this month--I really like all of the challenges! I've already posted one of them here, and one of the challenges was for a photograph, so here are the other five (Click the links below each LO for credits):

"Green"

"One More Time"
"Textured Paper"

"Yellow Submarine R"

"Outside Shower"

"Lucky to Have My Sister"

I also did a challenge at DSC again, using one of the pictures of Callia swimming in St. Maarten. Pictures from that vacation are my favorite right now! Strangely, I got the inspiration for this LO while I was away from the computer. I had downloaded the word art and waited a couple of days before using it. An idea popped into my head and I went to the computer and put it together. Strange? Yes, I think so. It took quite a bit of playing around with details, but in the end turned out just as I hoped it would.

"Ocean Moment of Joy"

In other news, kind of fun, Zig Zag Scrap where Val has her store, is opening up a forum starting this Thursday, April 7th. It sounds like they are going to have challenges and give-aways and I am really looking forward to it! I got their newsletter today and it was looong and beautiful! If you're not already on their newsletter mailing list, you might want to sign up! They choose a "GLOWinner" each week from layouts in their gallery and give them points for their store....I was even chosen one week as I mentioned before, although I didn't get the newsletter at the time and didn't know about the reward until too late. Oh, well! Anyhow, I like their newsletter, AND it seems like it will be a good time over there with the opening of their forum.  Zig Zag Scrap

And no, I didn't have to advertise for this LOL! Nobody even asked me to. I literally think it's going to be fun. :)

Update, Layouts, and RAK

OK I have several things to share! I will save the best for last. First, I will share some recent layouts I have done! :D

This two page LO I did with Val C. Designs most recent kit, a collab with Sue Cummings called "Preserved + unAltered", which is an absolutely beautiful kit and I look forward to doing more with it:

Also, MScraps had an "Oscars" event where layouts could be submitted to win, and I did make a couple and submit them for that, just for fun:

Submitted to the "Best Clean and Simple Non Template" category, made with MScraps freebie collab "So Thankful For":

Submitted to the "Best Clustering" category, made with Joyce Paul Designs' kit "Color Pop":

Now, possibly more interesting, is that Val C. Designs has opened a new website, www.valcdesigns.com, moved her blog to it, and started a newsletter. To promote her new blog and newsletter she is giving things away! Head over to see what she is doing with a RAK to give away her upcoming collab kit with Jen Yurko

I have been able to work with it and believe me, it is adorable! I can't wait to do more with it, and to show what I have already done! Details on how to win it at Val's new site! www.valcdesigns.com

Thanks for looking!

Layout with Val C.'s All In Block and Scraplift of Reubchensmum

I have done a layout using Val C.'s kit "Be Inspired--All In Block":

Also, Corinna aka Reubchensmum is featured scrapper at MScraps this week. Here is a link to her response to it on her blog, where she is giving a free template to celebrate! Corinna's Blog

Since Corinna is also a member of Val C's CT where I am a guest this month, and since I am a fan of her layouts, I wanted to do a scraplift of one of her pages to participate in the featured scrapper challenge.
Here is her beautiful page that I chose to lift:

Here is what I came up with last night, created with Joyce Paul Designs' kit "Color Pop":
And here it is with it's companion page (click for a larger view):
Congrats Corinna for being chosen as featured scrapper this week!
